Q: Why did Brightcove change its plans on hosting PLAY 2020?

A: The safety of our customers, partners, employees, and community is of utmost importance to us, and due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the PLAY event will not have a physical component at the Boston Encore this year. Instead, we will evolve and launch PLAY TV, an innovative, over-the-top streaming experience with the most, must-watch content focused on video.

 

Q: If I had registered for the live PLAY 2020 event, how do I cancel my registration?

A: All paid registrations for PLAY 2020 have been refunded or transferred, upon request, to the PLAY 2021 event. If you have any questions, please contact registration@garnishevent.com.  If you have questions about access to PLAY TV, please email playtv@brightcove.com.

 

Q: How do I cancel my hotel room reservation at the Encore?

A: All hotel reservations made in the group room block have been automatically canceled. Any deposits will be fully refunded.

 

Q: Will PLAY be moving any content to an online platform?

A: The PLAY 2020 event will evolve to PLAY TV, an innovative, over the top streaming experience with the most, must-watch content focused on video. This new video experience will showcase Brightcove technology, industry-leading thought leaders, and inspiring keynote speakers. Launching May 18 at 9 AM ET, viewers will be able to stream the content globally, on mobile devices, and the web.

A: No, the PLAY TV app experience and content is free.
